Nokian to adjust production in Finland

Nokian Tyres plc says it will adjust production at its factory in Finland in response to "the global financial crisis."

Possible actions include lay-offs of approximately 1,000 employees starting next month and lasting until November 2009.

 

Nokian adds it will upgrade its passenger and van tire production technology, "which may have an impact on approximately 70 employees' work."
